Hello friend, my name is Mercy Brookes.  At least it is here in this space.  You see, I have another blog, but this space is different.  This is the space where I share my journey with no secrets, shame, or disgrace.

I thought long and hard about using nom de plume for this website. The desire to start this site has been growing in my mind for a very long time.  Pornography is the fastest growing addiction out there, it's ruining marriages, and it's destroying families.  Most men look at pornography on a regular basis, and that means most marriages will be impacted by it at some point or another.  I feel strongly that I needed to share our story, so if you're marriage is impacted by porn then you'll know it can be healed and made whole again.

Part of being real means using your real name right?  Believe me I want to tell you who I am, but there are parts of our journey that would make my parents, my husband's parents and my husband's older brother look very, very bad.  It is out of respect and honor for our family, that I choose to use another name for this story. 

So despite the fact Mercy is not my true name this story is very much true.  Mercy is my name here because despite the pain of these past three years I have experienced God's mercy in amazing ways.  I have been broken, only to be restored by the Master.

If you could do me a favor and share this website, I would greatly appreciate it.  I am taking a great risk by not using my established name, or blogging relationships I've already developed.  Someone you know is affected by pornography, someone you know needs to read this story of hope.  Take a minute and share this site, you might just save a marriage.
